Hello all! I have the dolphin bar which works perfectly for emulation!

However, my plan was to also use it for a gun on old shooters like lethal enforcers that support mouse function. When I put the bar into mode 1 though, the cursor jumps all over the screen and is complete crap! Does anybody know of a way to make this smooth?

I previously had an ortz usb cable and used glovepie which worked very smooth so I know it must be possible with the far superior dolphin bar.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a Dolphin Bar working very well. Are you saying that the Wiimote doesn't jerk around in Dolphin, but does in mouse mode? If so, that is strange. Did you install the software that came on the disk with the Dolphin Bar? The website says the Dolphin Bar supports "anti-shake" function, but it may require the software to enable it.

After reading your post I opened up a game and realized that the cursor function in dolphin isn't working either! When I play mario kart all of the buttons and the motion sensing for turning and such works perfect....I'm not sure what could be causing this???

Dolphin Bar mouse emulation (mode 1) isn't good . It won't work in most of the PC games, as said in the review published in portal. You may get better results by connecting the wiimote directly to your computer and then using a GlovePIE script...

Ok, but I can't figure out why it's not even working in mode 4 playing wii games in dolphin?

The DolphinBar is completely plug and play on windows. The "software" it comes with is a driver package that isn't even needed on Windows 7 and an outdated build of Dolphin. Before you ask, I've tried both with and without the driver package, it makes no difference to how the dolphinbar behaves.

Just do the same old procedure that many others have done: step back! The wii remote was designed for television distances, and most people playing dolphin are up close. So simply walk backwards until the wiimote can pick up the dolphinbar's LEDs. Once you find how you current setup is working, alter the setup to get it as close as you can to how you want to use it.

So it's interesting/frustrating...I stepped back to about 10 or 12 feet and it did pick up in mode 1 for mouse control but very poorly to the point that there is no way you could use it. Then I stayed back at that distance and tried several positions with no luck. Interestingly, in mode 4 and in a game (mario kart wii in this case) the pointer does no work at all...it will not even pick up any movement. My drivers are current so I'm not sure what else to do.

Maybe new Wiimote batteries? I think I remember Wiimotes being jumpy when they're going flat.

Did you enable Continuous Scanning in Dolphin?
