I'm offended by this.

Anyways, it's on top for me, in Canada. There was a conversation a while ago where a few other people proclaimed that it was on top for them, as well, so I'm not just assuming things based on my own situation.

I'm sorry, but if I take a look into my atlas and open the world map, it shows a continent called North America which Canada is a country in.

And, when I take a look at social situations, most people mean the USA when they say America.

Also, if I take a look into my atlas, there exists a continent called South America, meaning that the usage of America on it's own to refer to a continent is invalid.

But the usage of America in this situation was correct, since North America is a subset of America. It might have been an over-generalization, but that's another problem.

America as a reference to the USA specifically has been in common usage for decades, in English and other languages. Feel free change years of historical linguistics, kinkinkijin. Now if you're finished, please stop gunking up this thread with petty semantics. Stick to the thread (talk of language and continents is very much a tangent from the theme of social media and Dolphin's social media specifically).

So yeah, regarding social media, it's mostly because nobody is interested in managing that (that we'd trust enough). JMC would be my first choice of victim, need to ask him if he wants to operate our Twitter account on top of the Facebook page.

We should also probably setup some cross-posting of our blog articles to Twitter. I think the code for that is already mostly written, just need to test it in production.

I was thinking of suggesting something like that but I wasn't sure how much effort it would take to code one versus posting updates manually. I know scripts like that exist for various CMS setups so I imagine it's certainly doable here.

So has there been any consideration on implementing any of this? I see the Dolphin Twitter account still hasn't been updated since March.

It'll need to happen, but, setting up a system that's automated will take some time and effort.

I just noticed that YouTube pages allow the option of linking to multiple social media sites rather than just Google+.

Ex:

Would it possible for whoever is maintaining the YouTube account to add the official Facebook and Twitter page links to the YouTube channel page? This is a pretty quick and easy way of helping establish the official social media pages.
