Hi there,

first of all, I want to say, that I'm German. So sorry for the bad english (if I make some mistakes Wink)

Well, in a few days it's Christmas and I want a new Notebook.

Notebook: http://www.computeruniverse.net/products/e90438093/lenovo-ideapad-z570-m556qge-w7hp64-4gb.asp

Now I need your help. Is this Notebook good enough for Dolphin? The GPU shouldn't be the problem, i've heard, that a Nvidia GeForce 540M is good enough. But with the i5... I'm not sure. I would like to play Wii- and GameCube games, such as Mario Kart Wii, Super smash bros brawl, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Superstar Baseball etc. Just the games, which everyone knows Big Grin

If this Notebook isn't good enough, I have another option, which is more expensive (http://www.computeruniverse.net/products/e90438092/lenovo-ideapad-z570-m556wge-w7hp64-4gb.asp)

From the two options that you have, the i7 is your best choice. Get that.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1
CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1)
RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333

yeah, thank you Smile

btw: I want to safe money, of course Wink Works Dolphin fine with a i5 or can occur some problems (low FPS rate, overheating processor etc)?

I know, a i7 is best, but a i5 is cheaper Wink

Hm, okay. So an Intel Core i5 2430M with 2x 2.40 GHz (3.00 GHz Turbo) is enough. This is fine, thank you ^^

The second one has a 750GB HDD instead of a 500GB (you probably won't need the extra space) and a 2.2-3.1GHz quad core sandy bridge mobile instead of a 2.4-3.0GHz dual core sandy bridge mobile. Other than that the specs are identical. You won't see much of a difference in performance between those two cpus, maybe 20%.

Hm, okay.

But a friend of me has this notebook for 550€ (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81uBt3CWpYS.pdf) and he says, that most of games (Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 as well) are running good. And this with a Intel i5 2410 M...

Is that true? I can't imagine... And he also said, that the notebook isn't overheating, when playing SMG 1 + 2 for several hours. Maybe the IceCool technologie of Asus is a reason, but I don't really know Wink
