I can dolphin running at 50 60 fps. Why does it like every 20 second it dips around 5 to 7 fps. I checked to see if I had any running in the background and found nothing. I have a AMD Athlon 61 X2 Dual core @5400+ 2.81GHZ, 2GB ram, ATI 2400 Radeon. Is there something I need to look for to stop it from chugging.

See if you have any anti-virus running in the background. Only reason I can think of. Also, what OS are you using?

How much memory is free? 2GB isn't alot for a 64 bit OS... What game are you trying to play?

Try killing services and applications one by one until you notice the lockups are gone.
