Yeah, kind of as I suspected... If I'm not mistaken, the 0xC000007B error code means that the application tried to directly load a x64 DLL into a x86 application, or a x86 DLL into a x64 application. To me, when you download a DLL from the Internet, you usually don't know if it's x86 (32-bit functionality) or x86-64 (native 64-bit functionality) ; it sounds to me like these downloadable DLLs are usually 32-bit, as I don't recall ever getting the above error code this way. Isn't it hard for those websites to at least say if a particular DLL comes from a 64-bit installation or from a 32-bit one?
Long story short, if you get 0xC000007B using any individually downloaded DLLs, delete them and try again. Then, for example, if a 64-bit application complains about a missing DLL, properly install the 64-bit DLL with the proper downloadable package, or download the 64-bit DLL and put it in the right place (are there two separate places when using a 64-bit OS with 32-bit compatibility?) if you manage to find one on the Internet...
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or inaccurate.
