I've recently installed a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate with 64 bit. I download the latest 64 bit stable release, Dolphin 3.0. When I clicked Dolphin, it said i need to have VCOMP100.DLL. I downloaded the file, put inside the Dolphin Folder, and clicked again. This time, I got the Following message:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

What do i need to do???

Read. Read the faq, rules, game threads and many other threads all over the forum as to not make a thread that has been answered 3 dozen times already. Also, search.

You can have a free pass this time, but don't let it happen again. Big Grin

I am also having the same problems trying to run this application. I did read the FAQs, and have been doing all the updates, and install's, to no avail, i continually get the same error he was getting.

I have updated to the latest DX, i have ran the c++ redistro.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
2.2 Ghz AMD Athlon II P340 Dual-Core CPU
3 GB ram
AMD 880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

Man I had the same problem where Dolphin didn't work, even doing everything that was in the faqs, the problem was Direct Input (xinput1_3.dll) was installed incorrectly, and reinstalling DirectX didn't fix the problem, I had to put the 64x version of xinput1_3.dll inside Dolphin folder and it worked like a charm, you can find it in the DirectX Installer (the last version is compressed in the "APR2007_xinput_x64.cab" file), give it a try.

Sorry for my bad English.

Tried that, still nothing. get same error as before. i have also tried compatibility modes, but I can only get to go back to Vista, Vista SP1, SP2, or WinServer 2008, Vista, nothing happened, sp1, same, SP2 i get the consent prompt then nothing, and same for server.

Your English was great btw! =)

On a side note, i found ExtremeDude2's 2.0 version to be in working condition, and I am currently only want GC emulation anyway, no Wii support needed here, but it sounds really intriguing that a emulator can do both. (i am familiar with Fusion, the Sega emulator, and i like the fact that i can have ONE emu that run all my old ROMS's)

Thanks for the responses!

Ok man, if you are sure you don't have memory problems, do something:

- Download the last version of Dependency Walker.
- Decompress it and execute it.
- Select: File --> Open --> Browse --> Select Dolphin.exe.
- Now it will be a list with all Dolphin dependencies, all the dlls that are on red are suspicious of the problem you are having, the only exceptions are IEFRAME.DLL and SHLWAPI.DLL, ignore those files.
- Check you have all of them in the proper versions "x64".
- Preferably install/reinstall the runtime that contain the missing files, instead of downloading the files alone, if reinstalling doesn't do the job (like my DirectX didn't) place the file manually, remember to backup the original (simply change it's extension to .bak).
- Try Dolphin again.

If your problem isn't hardware (possibly memory), I am completely sure you are having missing/wrong dlls issues.

ok, in depend walker, it says
"Error: Modules with different CPU types were found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module."

and in looking up at the tree, i WAS missing IESHIMS.DLL i downloaded that, put it in the dolphin dir, and tried again, still get the same error as above, and several 'modules' are loading in windows\sys32\ 32bit version.

anyway, 32bit 3.0 loads, when i finish transferring my ROM image from the home PC to here i'll check and see if my emulator actually works in GC mode =/

and 64bit 2.0 stable release works, i just cant get 3.0 64 bit to work on my system, go figure, but like i stated earlier, i dont won't/need Wii emulation - yet. =) take care guys, i'll check back from time to time to see if there are any fixes.
