dolphin 5.0 reads 2 controllers as 1

I need some help setting up my Dolphin to read 2 controllers instead of 1. When I get into 2 player games, either controller controls both characters. I have tried setting up 2 different accounts on my gcpad and no success. I am using a Mayflash 4 port adapter.
