Hi everyone. I had this problem a long time, but only today i decided to came to this forum to ask anyone for help. When i'm starting to play Konquest mode in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon on Dolphin 5.0 emulator, and after first cutscene with awakening of Taven, when gameplay is about to start, this error message just pops out: FIFO is overflowed by GatherPipe! CPU thread is too fast! And i can't even start to play Konquest mode. I have no problems with whole game itself, but when i starting Konquest mode, then this error pops out and emulator crashes. So, can anyone help me to solve this problem? I google it like 5 times and i can't find any solution to this problem. I read somewhere that you need to disable Dual Core Speed Up thing in emulator, to solve this problem, but it causes FPS to fall from 60 to like 30 and even 15 or 5, which means that, after i disable that thing, i can't even play games at normal speed. So, is there a way to solve this error without FPS drops, so games will work at normal speed but without this FIFO error?
Dolphin 5.0: CPU Thread is too fast - problem. Need help!

If your profile is correct: first download the latest development version of dolphin form the download page, you can find it if you scroll down a bit.
If that doesn't solve the issue: you have a very slow CPU and a slow GPU... ark.intel.com Wrote:"Product Collection: Legacy Intel® Pentium® Processor Probably the only way to solve this error without FPS drops is buying a new laptop.

Well, i tried latest development version, and here i thought that it will help me to solve this problem, but... it doesn't. It don't even want to start, giving me this another error message: Failed to load d3dcomplier_47.dll If you are using Windows 7, try installing the KB4019990 update package. And then another message pops out: Failed to create D3D Device. I understand that i need to install latest update for Windows 7, but i don't want to do that, cause of many reasons, one of which is about Microsoft themselfs. So, i think i have to skip Konquest mode and play the game in arcade mode, without finding a way to solve the problem. Disappointing, but i can't do nothing about it 01-26-2018, 09:34 PM

Disappointing, but i can't do nothing about it [tinfoilhat] You should try to install the directX redistributable, this will make a lot of games (not just dolphin) run a lot better: https://download.microsoft.com/download/...redist.exe [/tinfoilhat] You could always install Linux and go with the Linux version of Dolphin.

Yes, the "dual core" option is a hack, and on some games/platforms it just doesn't work (causing issues like the fifo overflow you saw). Saying you can't disable it because it makes it faster doesn't really help if it's what's causing your issues. 01-27-2018, 05:06 AM

Well, yeah it's what causes the problem, but only in Konquest mode. In simple arcade Mortal Kombat mode, it works fine, without problems. So, i think i need to disable that dual core option first always, when i'm starting to play Konquest mode, and then play it. |
