dolphin for linux has been decreasing the performance as it releases newer versions. it was having in zelda twighlight 26-28FPS in the hyrule field and now it dropped in the same area for 11-13 FPS (using the same configuration as before).
I would like to know what has been changed since dolphin 3 that did the linux version 4.0-715 have so poor performance?
very very poor performance, the game was playable and now it's unplayable.

I think I found it, maybe it's a bug in the interface where it was supposed to enable dual core support but the box checked is not enabling it, that explains why it dropped the performance to half

the config interface has a weird checkbox, it has 3 options, grey, blue and checked, now it's using two cores but even so 13-14 FPS... any linux developer messing up with dolphin?

As Dolphin is getting more accurate, it needs more powerful hardware to play fluently. Your Phenom is too old to do that job

Also, use the latest development version, and upgrade your nvidia drivers.

We have dropped the ztp speedhack because it is incompatible with another optimization, so there is a major performance issue in ztp.

Also worth noting that the vertex streaming hack was dropped.

You may get a performace boost by using an nvidia driver greater than version 331.21 as it enables "buffer storage" support.
