Hey everyone,
As of recent, I wanted to use Dolphin but I noticed the version I want to use is not too functional. Since the version I want to use requires VS2015, I tried to install it. Now what happens is it ends up saying setup has failed. I then went to get help from Microsoft about it, and VS2015 Update 1 installs, but I still get an error.

---------------------------
Dolphin.exe - System Error
---------------------------
The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

After googling for who knows how long, people always say that .dll comes with the VS2015 installation. Is there anything I can do to fix this? It's driving me insane. Sad

If you also need to see the Log File, just let me know and I'll attach the file in this thread.

You just need the runtimes and environments that come with vs. What exactly is the issue when trying to install Visual Studio 2015?
Arch
Intel Core i7 - 4510U

We provide a link on the download page for the runtimes. You don't need the full development environment.

Where would I find the download for this? Is it under the download section? If it is, I'm probably missing something.

Yeah, so I've downloaded from that microsoft page who nows how many times to see if there was error in the file. I always end getting Setup Failed and then it says unspecified error.

If you can't install the redistributables, your OS is messed. Try an "sfc /scannow" in an elevated command prompt, if that also doesn't fix the VC++ redistributables setup, I see no alternative other than formatting your computer and installing a fresh copy of your OS...

Pretty much.

Generally if you cannot install redists and sfc cannot fix your system, there is something very wrong with your windows install and chances are you're probably unable to install critical windows updates as well, or you're missing a lot. Even more of a reason to just reformat.
