Any GC game? Did this happen on previous versions? Can you check and report your temps during gameplay with CoreTemp? My first guess would be overheating.

I am having a similar problem. I can play the game for a few minutes with absolutely no indication that anything is wrong, it runs smoothly, but after an indeterminate amount of time (sometimes only a few minutes, sometimes as long as an hour) either the emulator will crash and close out, or the game video and sound will freeze or even just go to a black screen.

I only started using Dolphin a few days ago, so i am currently using version 4.0.1 of the emulator, and have only tried playing Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Im fairly sure my system is quite capable of running the emulator and the game in terms of power, but no idea if there are any hardware incompatibilities or anything of that nature.

If more info is needed i will try to oblige, and any help or input is appreciated.

Have you checked your temps during gameplay and reported them? I don't see them posted here.

Also, please ensure that your Dolphin game folder isn't marked read only under properties.

Ive been playing for about 20 minutes now, and my temperatures have risen only a little from idle. CPU is at 39C, GPU is at 51C. The folder is not read only.

No cheats, and all the settings are default. I had initially set the resolution to 1920x1080 (my native res) and the aspect ratio to 16:9, but after encountering issues i decided to set it all to default in case they were somehow responsible.
