I don't think that's needed any longer, latest revisions have 3D/Stereoscopic by default, just need to enable it in the plugin configuration and use the proper 3D glasses/hardware.

@ mamario: Hey, how do you get that stable sound in Punch-Out?? For me it's getting weirdly slow and stuff...haven't tested in a while but since I haven't heard about any work done on the HLE plugin recently...?
sorry for being off-topic btw.

Did I forgot to read a commit? Actually there is only support for red/cyan as I know. Thats not the way 3D hardware use. 10-14-2010, 10:03 PM
Yeah, unfortunately, 3D Vision (and as far as I know, iZ3D) require a program to run in exclusive full screen mode, whereas Dolphin runs in a sort of emulated full screen mode. I'm not entirely sure what the patch does (in the patch section of the forum) but I believe it just enables this exclusive mode.

Oh, so this actually uses 3D hardware? I though all the patch did was add support for stereoscopic/3D like what was just committed not too long ago.

No. This patch makes Dolphin compatible to NVIDIA 3D vision. This is also able to output red/cyan (for testing the experience). But its mainly made for use with 120Hz monitor, shutter glasses and Nvidia IR dongle for syncing the shutter glasses. In some weeks it will also support actual 3D TV systems (without the NVIDIA dongle). 10-17-2010, 08:32 AM
Nvidia 3D Vision requires exclusive fullscreen mode because it needs the display to output 120Hz with precise timings for synchronizing the glasses.
The iZ3D driver supports different types of 3D displays which do not have this requirement and works fine in windowed mode, some still need to be fullscreened to display 3D properly but they work normally with the curren dolphin fullscreen mode (or even if just maximizing the window). 10-17-2010, 09:39 AM

The new 3DTV Play of NVIDIA, that is comming soon separately, will be working also without the NVIDIA USB hardware as a 3D TV is connected to the computer. The main problem I've read about IZ3D driver is that it is not completely supporting DX9 functions. Don't know how much this affects dolphin. 10-17-2010, 08:14 PM
I havent reads through all the post, but is it possible to have the 3D with Polarized Glasses? I only have Polarized glasses home, and last I check it was with Cyan/Red only 3D before in dolphin.
