Hi there, it's me again.
Quite some while ago I already was talking here about netplay, etc. and we did get it to run quite well back then. Since then we both enrolled at universities, so interest has faded away. Right now we decided to play again for some while, since we both have several days off still, but it just isn't working...
We both have the same ISP, with 100 MBit/s internet connections, and a latency of ~5ms (Dolphin suggests a buffer of 0.45).
We started by making sure we both have the same ISOs of the game (Brawl). It's the same ISO we used back then to play. Now we both since then deleted our installation which was silly but.. meh.
We proceeded to download the latest ICC builds since we both run very potent intel machines (Me: i7-3820, 16gb DDR3-1600, GTX 670 / him: i5 2600k, 12GB, GTX 460 glh).
We tried firstly the AVX build by VLAD. that crashed on his machine though, so we went to the SSE4.2 build which worked. We both have basically identical settings and savegames.
On the graphics end we have:
Locally we both configured our gamepads as local pad 1.
We both have the ISO with banner and description in our game list.
In netplay window I configure his local pad 1 to be ingame pad 2, and my local pad 1 becomes ingame pad 1. So far so good.
But whatever we do, his dolphin always says Game not found! We both use the exact same isos, and it shows up, so why is it doing that? We also tried an older dolphin version without luck....
We're out of ideas at this point. any help would be greatly appreciated.
All the best
