I have a ROM that ends in .7z which doesn't seem to be recognized by Dolphin. This is a common ROM suffix, so I'm wondering if it just has to be changed and that will solve the problem.
doesn't recognize .7z files?

When you rip your own game discs, they end up in a .iso format, which is the main type of game image that dolphin reads. Also: ciso, cso, wbfs, and then whatever Dolphin's compressor makes (I think cso) A .7z means it's a zipped archive, usually associated with downloading a game, which is piracy, which we don't allow, at all. A rom also usually means piracy, as an ISO is what you get when you rip a disc yourself properly. But you're probably just used to other emulator terminology usage of roms, and all you need to do is just unzip the .7z archive. |
