I was under the impression it did, however after creating all my m3u files, i tried to load one and got a warning that says

"could not recognize the file xx/xxx/xxx/Game.m3u"

Am i missing something or does dolphin in fact, not support m3u? Trying to add shortcuts via steam link and unfortunately the majority of games I'd like to play are multi disc.

Thanks for the time and help!

No, Dolphin doesn't support .m3u files. But it's on the list of things that I'm planning to add in the future if I get time.

Err... Isn't M3U a format of playlist used by Winamp? I tried Googling but that's all I found...

thank you for the quick reply.  I imagine i'll have to use some wonky desktop streaming via steamlink to finagle within the dolphin interface in order to change discs for now then.

That or play AT the pc, but that just sounds terrible.  You get old, and a couch or bed is sooo much better Tongue

initially i believe it was related to media exclusively.  Now many emulators use it as a means to direct to relevant files, whether it be cue, iso, or any other pertinent format.

its almost like loading both discs at once.  once the file is created properly, when it asks to change discs, you just confirm/continue and it works just like if you were to have done so physically.

To answer you mbc07: M3U was effectively use as a playlist file (first with Winamp, but many more media players support it now). Basically, it's just a text file with a list of music files, relatively to the current location or the complete path to the file.
So now, some other softwares are using it now, as a shortcut to several files at once. Like klepp0906 said, some emulators use this for multi-disc games, so the emulator knows right from the start that this is a multi-disc game and loads all the discs specified at once...
