i think n64 is the best which means an n64 emu. pj64.

the greatest game of all time [arguably] ocarina of time started on the n64.

my favourity games, perfect dark, banjo kazooie, 1080 are all on the n64 and are emulated well on the pj64. pj64 is the greatest emu of all time. jabo, zilmar and the boys get my vote! Rolleyes

dolphin is 2nd...maybe

Strangely enough, Dolphin emulates some of the N64 virtual consoles so accurately, it does a better job of playing the game better than most available N64 emulators, PJ64 included :p

Yeah it will definitely be slower. Running OOT/Majora's on the collectors disk gave me issues on my laptop.

And there aren't a lot of N64 games available on Virtual Console.
Anyway I don't think a lot of guys use Dolphin to play VC games

Around here, there have only been a couple of guys who really enjoyed the VC titles, both of them were a little "opinionated" about how good it was, to say the least.

If by "enjoyed VC titles" you mean "liked VC titles" I will say I like them too. These are good old games of course Wink.
I just see no interest playing these games on Dolphin (and on Wii btw). prefer playing them on real systems or on other emulators made for this.
Another example of my "rigidity of mind" : I play my GC games on my GC. Never have the reflex to insert the disc into the Wii Tongue

By "enjoyed VC titles" I mean they thought it was the "best thing ever" (no kidding, direct quote from one of the guys). They were also very adamant about their belief as well, especially when none of us got why you'd want to play VC games on Dolphin rather than on an emulator dedicated to a specific platform like PJ64 for N64 games.

They probably wanted an all in one for convenience. Although pj64 is very easy as it is.

I think that Dolphin's the best GC and Wii Emulator ATM, but not the best in the world.
The best one is, obviously, or VBA or DeSmuME (or NO$GBA).
