It's possible nowadays! There are two problems with playing this game over netplay:
1. The game gets stuck on a black screen if you use deterministic dual core. To fix this, go to Config > General and turn off Dual Core.
2. The game disconnects Wii Remote 2. You need Dolphin 5.0-17527 or newer in order to be able to reconnect it again while using netplay.
