Displaying over the notch area

Is there a way to display content over the notch area? I have a fold2 with a punchhole camera, so losing a few pixels wouldn't be a bother and I'd rather just force games to display over the whole screen.
If this feature already exists I can't find it to save my life, if it doesn't, would you consider adding it in as an option? It wouldn't be a lot of work as most emulators already implement it.

There should be an option in the Fold 2's settings that forces apps to be fullscreens. Try it and see if helps.

I'd have to agree with LG here. I don't think it's anything to do with Dolphin, especially if the phone does it with other apps. I'd say to look up how to make apps take up the whole screen on Google or an android phone forum.

It's certainly not a fold issue, as PPSSPP and RetroArch (via an additional commit in 1.9.0 which is in nightly) supports drawing over the full screen just fine.
Issue is with how the app creates the drawing area, as it uses the old apis that do not account for a notch being there at all.

The option doesn't actually exist in the fold2, it's an external application called Foldstar, but it only modifies how apps display on the screen, it doesn't change which settings they use to actually display content (eg. instagram will fill sides, but still won't draw over the notch in horizontal mode).

Here's the commit in question https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/pull/11251
