OpenCL was never useful, and the dumber people who use it just don't know how Dolphin interacts with their GPU drivers.

Agreed. I have never used the option either and have been playing Dolphin since 2.0

OpenCL *has* been discussed quite a few times. It's been really close to removal a few times before, but someone always popped up and said they'd fix it up, which they never ended up doing.
