Is Disaster: Day of Crisis broken in latest builds?
I'm using build 4.0-8096.

When the game finishes loading on the loading screen, the game just freezes.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Apparently, the game used to work before.

Just thought I'd report this, thanks. Smile

What is the MD5 and region of the image?

The Dolphin wiki claims compatibility is fine but it was tested against a very old build.

Can you test against 4.0.2? Thanks.

NTSC-U version. I tested 4.0.2, it works fine.
I don't know the MD5, but I'm pretty sure the rip of the game is fine.

So I should test various builds and find out which version broke it, right?

I'll do that in the meantime.

4672 was the last working build.

4674 broke it...

144 also broke another part of the game (Continue screen freeze).

143 was the last perfectly working build, it seems.

Thanks for bisecting this. I'll see if I can get somebody to look into this if it turns out your dump is valid.

You can calculate the MD5 in Dolphin by right clicking on the title, going to properties, and somewhere in one of the tabs in there you should see a button to calculate the MD5 hash. If you can post that that would be helpful.

This game can't be NTSC-U. It was never released in NA. Just EU and Japan.

Your MD5 should probably be

729d8b13498dd0556d7423e49457a75a

That's the known dump for the PAL version, unless you're playing the Japanese version, which doesn't have a known dump

Actually, maybe it IS a bad dump. I did a lot of transferring so I'm redumping it again.
I'll let you know if it fixes anything.

By the way, this is the MD5 of an *unscrubbed* image. If you're scrubbing your images, that will produce a different MD5. Functionally it should be the same as an unscrubbed if done correctly (Dolphin is known to scrub correctly when compressing wii images)

Got a new dump, MD5 is exactly that one you gave me. Region is PAL.

Still getting the exact same issues on the latest builds. :/

The circumstances for this new dump are different, it seems.
The entire game just seems unreliable.

Sometimes, the game won't even boot.
Sometimes, the game won't load on a continue.
Sometimes, the game will freeze during the opening cutscene on a new game.
Sometimes, the game will randomly freeze.

The game reacts differently for each build I test, and there seems to be no perfect build so far which runs it completely correct...
