I've been all over the forums and can't find anyone with a similar problem to mine...
I used to be able to use Dolphin great using Direct3d. Games ran 100% most of the time and graphics were beautiful. My antivirus subscription ran out and my computer started having issues. I ran a System Restore and updated my antivirus, and I believe at this time is when I open a game Dolphin sits there for a few moments, then the black screen (with no sound) turns grey and I get the regular Windows '***.exe crashed' notification. I still felt like my computer wasn't 100% as well so I formatted. I've re-downloaded everything (dolphin 3.0-232-dirty, directx, and c++) and I have the same problem with Dolphin. It runs in OpenGL, but it looks horrendous and is incredibly slow and lags throughout all stages of gameplay, so bad that it's practically unplayable.
Any ideas what the System Restore and System Recovery might have removed that I need?
If it helps:
Intel Q9000 @ 2GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (I know it's lousy but it ran games great before)
Game is Smash Brothers: Brawl
Windows Vista (x64)
