- By "4-player game", do you mean a game with 4 GC controllers on one instance of the emulator? (as in, no Netplay?)
- Open the GCPad configuration window, and make sure that the controls are correctly defined and react correctly in the window.
- In the main Dolphin configuration window, open the "Gamecube" tab, and set all 4 ports to "Standard Controller".
If nothing has helped, you need to provide more information about what exactly you can't "seem to get to work".
