When I have a lot of tabs open it's hard to differentiate between the main site where I usually have build listings and the forum.
This idea is already implemented on the issue tracker which is on the bugs. subdomain. This is just improving on that for consistency, whoever's idea was that I salute you.
Furthermore to push it even futher, you could separate the dev build listings from the main site where blogs and progress reports are.
One barrier with separating the homepage from download is that while the data of the builds is hosted on an index inacessible subdomain https://dl.dolpin-emu.org but the public listings is still on the main domain.
That would require moving the build download listing pages to different subdomain, it doesn't need to be dl. necessairly, since dl usually doesn't even appear as a tab (direct download) or gets closed quickly.
But mainly id' like to see at least forums getting their own flavour.
