Like some other Toshiba stack users , I can't connect my Wii remote in any way, shape, or form with newer builds. I uninstalled the stack and tried using Microsoft's and it seemed to be working fine. I just wanted to ask if there are any known differences in the performance of the Microsoft stack that I should expect while playing games.... if not, I may stick with it and never bother installing the Toshiba one again.

If there are any compromises with Microsoft's stack I'd rather stick with Toshiba and wait until the connection issue is fixed.

No. Bluetooth connectivity is not going to impact your performance in any way.

Thanks for the answer, but I was asking more about the quality of the bluetooth connection itself instead of Dolphin's performance. I searched the forums and all I could find was that a few people said the Toshiba stack is better, but I don't know in what way; should I expect any difference in the stability of the bluetooth connection/motion+ calibration/general wiimote functioning when using the Microsoft stack?

What about trying both?
In most cases (but not always) Toshiba stack is used by people who couldn't get their Wiimote to work with Microsoft stack.
But if you got no issue with Microsoft stack there's no real reason to use another one.

I personaly use Toshiba stack because I had it by default on my first laptop. It worked just fine that's why I keep on using this stack. I see no reason to change something when it works.

And if you're refractory to Microsoft just use Toshiba stack Tongue

Your connection should be just fine on both of them as long as they work. Personally I use the toshiba stack because it's the only way to get my wiimote with built in motion plus to connect.

Thanks for the input. My wii remote+ connects with the MS stack fine and it actually seems more convenient than the Toshiba one since I can just press 1+2 to connect instead of opening Toshiba settings every time, not to mention that it doesn't add over a half dozen junk processes I don't need every time I use it. stickin' with it.
