Short story: Yes, you will see some improvements. And if paired with overclockable mobo (like Z97), even more since you´ll be able to do OC.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

There is big difference between Haswell and Ivy Bridge (30%) . i3 4130 @ 3.4GHz is equivalent to i5 3570k @ 4.4GHz , just saying...
Ivy Bridge is slightly faster than Sandy Bridge (5~10%) If you have Z77 mobo atm , getting i5 3570k and overclock it will bring you more improvement . However , if you're using H61 mobo atm , you should sell it and upgrade to Z87 mobo + i5 4670k Laptop: Youtube Channel (Vintage Tech/Watches) :: |
