See pictures. I bought them off eBay, Blush but the seller is US based and has an exceptional feedback rating and insisted they were genuine, and defiantly not Chinese knock offs. They all seem to work OK with the Dolphinbar including a VERY QUICK test with the Skyward Sword menu. But I've noticed some obvious differences between my legit MotionPlus that came with my Wii U. It's the black one on the right.

The left black one, in addition to appearing very different from the known good one, exhibits signs of my old known fake non motion plus such as excessively bright blue lights, louder than normal clicky + and - butons, extra noisy/rattling motor, and Asian characters in the battery compartment (I don't mean to be ignorant but I don't know which Asian text specifically, just that it's nowhere to be seen on my known legit one). Also the questionable black one has a battery cover without a sync button, juts like my old fake one.

As for the white one it looks way more like its supposed to, but it also has the Asian characters in the battery compartment that are no where to be seen on my known legit one. If there were different cosmetic revisions I'm fine with that but if these are possible fakes I'd really rather just cut my loses for return shipping and get known genuine ones, even if they're twice as much as I paid for these.

The seller has a 14 day return policy, (I pay return shipping).

Do these seem 100% legit to you guys, or if you were me would you just cut your slight loss in return shipping and buy known genuine ones from a place like Walmart, Target, GameStop, etc.

Thanks for your time!

If those are fakes, they are really good ones. 3rd party wiimotes almost never work with Dolphin or the Dolphinbar! No one knows why, but the biggest tell that a wiimote is fake is when it doesn't work with Dolphin. Since it works, it's probably legit.

That, and the wiimotes have changed subtly over time. From the change to the -TR Wiimote, the wiimote got brighter LEDs and more obvious battery labeling inside, as well as the sync button on the battery cover and a strap with a "peg" to press it. The -TR wiimotes you get on shelves today (for the lower price) have slightly different construction than older ones; the non-transparent A button is the most obvious change, but the plastic for the back half is changed to a coarser (and thus grippier, I like it) plastic identical to what was used on the Classic Controller Pro.

See for yourself!

Those are my three wiimotes, all 100% official! They are all black because I saw gamestop demo wiimotes and was scarred for life at their ickiness. The one on the left is a non-TR circa 2010, the middle is a -TR circa late 2012, and the one on the right is the new lower price -TR from late 2014. Notice which one yours looks like? My old non-TR. Yet yours has the RVL-036 code of the wiimote plus! So it's possible you managed to get one of the pre-TR motion plus wiimotes. Sweet!

Either way, they all seem official to me. The fakes usually have very obvious differences, like obviously inferior plastic, serious design differences, and messed up labeling. And your wiimotes work in Dolphin, so as long as they aren't giving you any trouble, you should be good!

My remote seems to be between major's first one and second one and is also 100% genuine. Looks like there are just a lot of versions.
