I took a gamble and bought a bluetooth dongle that wasn't listed at bottom of this page. I had to pick between expensive adapters or a moderate priced one. After finding out the dongle does not work on Ubuntu I took a look at the list again. Unfortunately all of adapters that I can use is not sold anywhere.

Is there any more info anywhere that will shed light on adapter compatible? The current list does not help. Sad

Thank you.

EDIT:
Belkin Mini BT 4.0 Adapter I can use but it requires forcing. I found the Dolphin.ini where you are to change PID and VID variables at Bluetooth passthrough section, but there is no such variables or section. Curses.

Your profile says that you're using Dolphin 5.0. If that's the case, you need to update to a newer version (a development version). 5.0 doesn't support Bluetooth passthrough, so the PID and VID settings won't exist if you're using 5.0.

That's outdated as I am using development branch, which allows bluetooth passthrough (option is visible in controller config). Apologizes for that.
The problem though is that I can't find PID or VID in Dolphin.ini to force a specific adapter. Does Bluetooth passthrough option be ticked on first, in controller config, before the variables will appear in Dolphin.ini file?

I am going to try force Belkin 4.0 mini adapter with this. I tried bluetooth passthrough with a other adapter, not forcing, and it did not work.

"Forcing a specific adapter

If you need to use a specific adapter, instead of using the first Bluetooth adapter that is found, you can force Dolphin to use it by editing Dolphin's configuration file (Config/Dolphin.ini). In the BluetoothPassthrough section, set "VID" and "PID" to your adapter's vendor ID and product ID. These values should be converted from hex to decimal, for example a VID of "057E" should be inputted as "1406". "

Note: I am on Ubuntu 16.04 and using development (not stable) version of Dolphin. Bluetooth passthrough is available in controller config menu.
I went to ~/config/dolphin-emu/Dolphin.ini and looked for a BluetoothPassthrough section and a VID and PID value. I can't find any.

Can't say why they wouldn't be showing up, but in my config file the BluetoothPassthrough section shows up right above USBPassthrough.  Don't really know if the location is important though...
The section looks like this
Code:
[BluetoothPassthrough]
Enabled = False
VID = -1
PID = -1
LinkKeys =

ISSUE FOUND.
Now before you all judge me, I had a feeling there may have been a extra Dolphin.ini somewhere. That's why I used the file browser to search for "Dolphin.ini" (with and without capital letter). I did not find the other one.

Here was the issue:
I went to ~/.config/dolphin-emu/Dolphin.ini
The actual file was at ~/.dolphin-emu/Config/Dolphin.ini

Thank you all for taking time to help me out!
