Yeah, neither is it in DefenderX's builds.
Funnily enough, that's kinda the most obvious optimization but no one ever thinks of using it around here :p 05-05-2012, 10:14 AM
I hadn't realised I would start trouble over this!
I didn't feel the need to even try DefenderX's vanilla builds as the ICC versions seemed to work very nicely. I can compare them and post back here the results if you like.

I've always been interested in this as well, so I did a couple benchmarks between Lectrode's and DefenderX's normal / ICC builds and the official site build. Performance-wise, they are exactly the same on my PC (i5-2500k @ 4.4, Radeon HD 6870, 2x4GB 2133 DDR3). However, when doing a benchmark of the Last Story Chapter 4 intro, I noticed that only DefenderX's builds (both vanilla and ICC) had out-of-sync audio and video. The problem seems to be that the video (but not FPS according to fraps) gets ahead of the audio. I don't know what could be causing this, though, since they are all compiled from the same source.
Results: These numbers represent average FPS over a 60 second period.
