Sup guys. Newbie here. Im running Dolphin version 3.0-204. The games I currently own are: Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I have been having pretty bad framerate issue. Sometimes I could be running 60 FPS down to 3-8 FPS.

Now i understand that these are demanding games, and that emulation has nothing to do with graphical power. Im almost positive its a Dolphins Settng issue. Can you guys offer any tips on how to get these games running moderately smooth?

Here are my specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (
Processor: AMD Athlon™ II X4 640 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8190MB RAM
Page File: 2343MB used, 14035MB available
Card name: AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series
Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Is it bad that im playing on a 46in Samsung HDTV?

Welcome to the forums.

I don't have either of those games, but our systems are similar enough.

What are your resolution settings?
CPU: Intel i7-4790K
GPU: AMD HD 6870
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2
RAM: 8GB DDR3

Running Dolphin x64 on Windows 8.1

You need an overclocked sandy bridge cpu to run SMG and SMG2 at fullspeed. A high end core 2 or sandy bridge cpu is needed for skyward sword.
