That's not the purpose of bugmenot though. It's purpose is to bypass compulsory registration, such as when the admin hides the board content and forces everyone to register to see the board content. It has a tendency to be abused, considering it bypasses safeguards in place such as anti-spam measures and allows users to evade bans. Banning troublesome users becomes more difficult as the accounts are in use by multiple users. Let's be realistic here though, when people post on a forum such as this for help with an emulator it's highly unlikely they will only post once and won't stick around.
Although to simplify the registration process, email verification can be disabled and recaptcha plus simple Q & A verification enabled in it's place which should be enough to keep most bots out.
