Deactivate GC controler

hello guys
im trying to play super smash brawl, and im getting 1P controller from the game cube one. I tried to clean the controler on the configuration but it doens´t work.
I need to deactivate the controler, but i don´t know how..
Can you guys help me ?

Options > Configure... > Gamecube > Device settings

Change Port # (1-4 controller slot) to <Nothing>
