Does this mean there's a chance Dolphin's built-in AR code support will get better? Big Grin

It means there's no reason to make it better, people can just buy an Action Replay disc, customly code a dumper for it, and use that in Dolphin with LLE audio and bios. No harder than using built-in support; thus no need to update it.

From what I've read, it's also pretty hard to find one of the old ARs that actually lets you enter your own codes. The newer ones are gimped and only let you use whatever codes came with the device.

For those who care, the version of Advance Game Port that includes the Construction Kit appears to be a better version.  I don't see any of the graphics issues that were in the video:

Also, while testing the game with JMC47, we ran into some issues that he was seeing that I wasn't.  I think these were because the version I had supports 32 MB games, while the earlier version only supports 16MB.
I didn't do any testing on the FPS. My sad computer isn't the fastest thing ever.
The 10 games mentioned in the video from the MaxPlay volume 1 are also included and playable on the Advance Game Port disc on the Construction Kit version.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Construction Kit as well.  The game came with a mini-DVD that shows you how to generate your own GBA cheats (actual mini-DVD requires a DVD player and doesn't play in the Gamecube).

It does have several cheats for popular games built in.

Yeah. I assumed they were more or less the same until I saw your video.

From what I remember, they introduced that change when PSO came out, or when someone started making codes to work with PSO.
The people over at Datel didn't like people cheating in online games because it ruins the experience for other players.

I remember playing with the cheats when I had PSO and an action replay, you basically had a level one character and you killed a 'booma' and you would instantly be level 55 or something around there. It just increased the xp that you get from a slain enemy.
