Right, I'm not into emulation that much, however I do cover it on my YouTube channel, and I was wanting to showcase Pokemon Colosseum's battle mode, and when it came to selecting the pokemon it required me to use the d-pad, however there is not dpad in the controls? I'm not useless lol so I was able to bypass it by editing the .ini file for the gamecube controller to allow for the z button to register as a dpad but obviously this is far from optimal. Any help would be appreciated.

Apparently this has been an issue for android. Apparently the developers have been working to fix this but it's been many months and nothing has changed and most android queries are met with a COMPILE UR OWN BUILD response. My self have been querying a resi evil code veronica issues and that's all I got.

It's because the first assumption is wrong. There is no android developer working on dolphin right now. Through there was a new one who created a single android PR a month ago: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/4040 (08-10-2016, 06:55 PM)degasus Wrote: It's because the first assumption is wrong. In other words, should I download regularly new dev versions, or should I wait for those versions that specifically work on Android (https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/4040)? I hope you understand my questions 08-11-2016, 12:34 AM

Most android users have asked this and got no one is working on android right now response. Which is very frustrating. One would think there would be even a slight improvement after all this time but I haven't seen any......

It's just the fact. No one is working on dolphin android. So either continue to complain about zero progress, join the team and be the new contributor, or accept that there won't be progress.
It seems like you've choosen the first way. Thank you :/ 08-11-2016, 10:47 PM
ShieldTV is the biggest and best thing to happen to emulation and alternative gaming... why would you buy a $1000 gaming rig to replace a $100 Wii? do people want to sit 12 inches from their computer monitor to play a wii game? but, "noone cares about Android" blah blah blah. Windows only boys... hope you got the right rig.

Agreed. But this is not how open source works. If this target doesn't not attrack contributors, it won't be done. Bad luck, the average android dolphin user seems to be technically less skilled than the average desktop dolphin user :/
you only need a $800 machine if you want a laptop.
Otherwise a $400 custom built desktop plays Dolphin just as well as any "gaming" machine. Also, you're forgetting the Wii doesn't render games at whatever resolution you want. Or with the dozen graphical enhancements Dolphin provides. Anyways, if you just want to complain about an open source project not making progress on something, don't be surprised when the developers of that project don't care too much about what you have to say. |
