New update since the resource pack stuff was finalized in Dolphin.

- Added an option to only create manifest.json file.
- Logo formatting now defaults to "No Scaling" so icon size isn't forced by default.
- 7-zip path will now save on exit, and should import to new versions.

When I run this, I get an error (see attachment) corresponding to the line:
Code:
7ZipThreaded -ZipPath $OutputPath -ZipFileName $ZippedFile

which I assume has to do with the name “7ZipThreaded” beginning with a numeral?

I can fix this problem by replacing the three instances of “7ZipThreaded” with “SevenZipThreaded”, but then I get an error corresponding to the line

If it matters, I’m running at 1920×1080 on a single monitor on Win7x64Pro.

After pressing “Continue” through the next three error boxes, the program does then open, although I’m not sure whether those errors indicate that subsequent operation will be impeded.

(Also, updating to nVidia’s latest driver didn’t do away with this error.)

I may have made some errors, I'll check it out soon. Just to make sure, if you are on Windows 7 you will need to update PowerShell.

Edit: Just to add, that error involving the window size should not affect anything. As a matter of fact, I can probably remove that line completely since the console isn't even used anymore outside of debugging.
But it does look like you are still on PS v2 (which comes with Win7), ignore the v1.0 in the path. The minimum my script supports now is PS v3 (which comes with Win8). Some stuff will work, but I'm sure you will get errors with several of the options unless you update.

Whoops, that’s fixed it for me. I’m sorry I missed that prereq.

And thank you for the tool—it’s incredible.

Out of curiosity, I found when converting textures for SSX 3 that some PNGs (fortunately not very many) don’t convert correctly to DDS unless I disable GPU acceleration. Most converted to DDS BC7 fine, but a handful didn’t. All PNGs were created using the same process, and all by upscaling the original SSX 3 textures.

Any idea what might make textures sometimes not convert to DDS correctly unless GPU acceleration is off?

It's my bad, I should have included that Windows 7 users need to update PowerShell on the first post. It wasn't too long ago that I dropped support for PS v2. The reason being is it is far more limited than v3+ (hence all the errors you were receiving, in the past I would have had to work around them all).

As for textures not being created unless disabling GPU acceleration, I have no idea. This option only works with TexConv and the Waifu2x programs. If you are not using Compressonator to create BC7, I do suggest getting it. That gives you two programs to create BC7 with. For example, if you pick "Compressonator" for the "DDS Tool", and Compressonator fails, it will fall back to TexConv. The nvidia tools can also create BC7, but it is really slow without CUDA installed. I do plan on replacing it with something else eventually.

Just as a note, your default path for Ishiiruka’s tool has the executable name misspelled as “TexturEncoder.exe” instead of “TextureEncoder.exe”.

I'm using the latest version of the tool after a long time to convert the MKW texture pack to DDS BC7. However, BC7 does not show up as an option for me. I installed the latest ImageMagick and downloaded the latest compressonatorCLI executable, indicating the path in the tool's options.

What could be wrong with my setup?

There are two options.

First is also to also link TexConv, since I have it as a hard requirement to create BC7. The reason is Compressonator can sometimes fail to create images, so when that happens, it falls back to TexConv.

Second option is to force showing it in menus. Edit the script, scroll down to line 119, and set $ForceShowBC7Format to $true.

But do keep in mind the latter option may result in missing textures!
