My settings are:

Output Format = DDS
Auto-Repair = True
Copy Non-Texture = True

I then run it to generate the folder. However, where are the mipmaps?

EDIT 1: I think I discovered that the Force New MipMaps are set to False in the internal options. I change that to true, right?

EDIT 2: Okay, so I need to change it to Dolphin, with External mipmap type as well.

Oops, I'm sorry about that I goofed. I usually keep the default for DDS MipMap Type to "External" but I messed up and released 9.7 with "Internal" as the default. So it was creating mipmaps for DDS, just not the external ones that the master branch of Dolphin uses. Internal is only useful for Ishiiruka, hopefully someday Dolphin can use these types of mipmaps so I can remove this option and just create internal by default. The other setting Material Map Format is just a means to convert DDS Ishiiruka textures (meaning, textures created with Ishiiruka Tool that have a .nrm included) into a DDS texture that works with Dolphin master.

Edit: I'm not a big fan of the Internal Options because they are "hidden away", I've been slowly trying to eliminate most of them over time and expose them in the options they are used in. Next version will finally be GUI based which should be somewhat easier to work with I hope, and most "Internal Options" will be eliminated. The text based menus will still exist if for some reason anyone prefers those over a GUI by entering "Script Mode".

New version with a GUI finally finished. It has been tested on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 and seems to be fully functional (after lots of tweaks Tongue).

Almost everything from the text based menus has been implemented. The only thing missing is the Combine/Split texture advanced options that I am too lazy to implement at this time because there is a lot that went into them. They can still be accessed, along with all the text based menus by pressing the "Script Mode" button or disabling the GUI from the Options panel.

The only key difference between GUI and script modes is that the Input and Output paths can now be configured using the GUI. This means that the script no longer needs to be copied to the texture pack folder if using the GUI, and where textures are actually created can be configured as well. If using script mode, these paths default to the path the script is in so in this case it will still need to be copied to the texture folder. The output path selected will always create a ~CTT_Generated folder, and all sub-folders will now be located there instead of cluttering the texture pack folder if its chosen as the output path.

All other relevant changes can be found in the log.

I must say that this is very impressive. You keep making my life easier with every update. Honestly said, I would be lost without your tool. Onwards to porting Majora's Mask again! You should make an GUI .exe application of it Smile.

New version, the biggest update I've ever done from version to version, potentially the last big update I'll ever make. Here are a few of the quality of life changes, the full changelog can be seen here.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/wic9go1ivvmtoor/Custom+Texture+Tool+PS+v11.0.zip

- Auto-rename "ConvertedTextures" or "RescaledTextures" folders to the GameID (or whatever name is entered).
- Can now apply upscaling filters to DDS textures. I don't suggest this unless the PNG is no longer available.
- Support for Tino's new (.lum) material, (_lum) color texture, and (.mat) material maps.
- Cleanly cancel the current process by pressing "Escape", which also removes the unfinished folder it was generating.
- Advanced option "Generate New MipMaps" can now preserve dynamic MipMaps and is affected by MipMap options.
- Combine/Split textures implemented in GUI now with a drag and drop grid array.
- The "Help" button is now working and offers a small encyclopedia of everything this tool can do.
- The PowerShell console will now attempt to center itself on the screen (PowerShell v3.0 and up).
- The double click registry hack is now an option that can be toggled within the script.
- More tooltips because you can never have enough of those things. Better formatting for most of them.
- Many fixes to aesthetics and bugs ranging from "who cares?" to "what happened to my textures?".

Edit: If you downloaded the new version within the first couple of hours, please redownload it. I made a small fix to an issue I missed where the script could display "substring" error messages. They were cosmetic only, so I didn't feel that a whole new version was necessary.

New version, can maybe be considered the "final version" unless something significant changes ("tex2" format?) or a bug pops up. This version just cleans up a few things and adds a few minor conveniences.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/3e0nm9kntf97l75/Custom+Texture+Tool+PS+v12.2.zip

First, options that have their values changed are now only written to the script on exit. Closing the PowerShell window with the X button WILL NOT save any changes that are made! I have not discovered a way to detect and run additional code when the PowerShell window is closed with the "X" button that actually works, I'm not even sure if it's possible. To save changes the script must be closed in one of the following fashions:
1.) Click the "Exit" button on the GUI.
2.) Click the "X" button on the GUI.
3.) Close the GUI with Alt+F4.
4.) Enter "X" or nothing at all at the Main Menu in script mode and hit Enter.

Back in the day, there were few options available so writing them when changed made sense. Now that there's a GUI with numeric up/downs, going from 0.20 to 0.80 meant that the script file was written to 60 times! This may not harm anything, but it's still wasteful which is why I decided to just update everything in one go on exit.

Another change is the last option that was selected is now remembered. Meaning, if you only use this script to convert textures to DDS, closing the script with "Convert Textures to Another Format" selected will load this option first when it is reloaded.

Next, it's possible to drag and drop a folder into the texture and output paths rather than go through the horrendous tree view menu that Microsoft provides. I wanted to do this before, but I honestly didn't know how to do it properly.

Last, a few more changes for convenience.
Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
Orange - Some options are now grayed out unless the "master option" is enabled.
Red - Do not store any options that were changed when the script is closed.
Blue - Allow CTT-PS to fall below other windows. v10 top-most was default, v11 top-most was disabled.
Green - A button to restore all the options to the default values.
I forgot to give it a color box, but the minimize button in the top right is now available as well.
EDIT: I guess removing all the old update code was harder than I thought it was, or I was just too tired and wanted to release it before it was ready and had proper testing. Here is a bug-fix version that takes care of a few remaining issues, a big one being the upscaling filter menu was not saving the selected filter...

EDIT2: I suck.

Also, BigHead remember on page 15 how I had an issue with you PS Script? The image of the error is still there for reference, I was wondering if you ever released a version to correct that.

My site's host is having issues. This wouldn't be the first time, it might be down for a few days if not forever. The changelog is included in the zip though.

You can not have an apostrophe in the path to the script.

This is an issue that cannot be fixed because it is an issue with powershell itself. Text wrapped in single or double quotations represent strings. The issue is if the path to where the script is located contains an apostrophe ('), then powershell will try to parse part of the path as a string but it never finds the closing quote (') which gives that specific error message.

Providing another apostrophe which would complete the so called string. But this shows yet a different error message.

No code is ran yet so there is nothing I can write to fix it. But, you're not the only one who had this issue.
