Hi Bighead,

I used texconv in the past to convert my PNGs to DDS. Now I wanted to try Compressonator since you wrote that it provides higher quality BC7 textures.
I downloaded CompressonatorCLI_x64_4.2.5185.exe from the github page you linked and removed the part "_x64_4.2.5185" so CTT can find it.

Trying to convert the textures gives me these errors though:

The download "CompressonatorCLI_x64_4.2.5185.exe" is actually an installer file. You need to install it somewhere then point to that folder. Afterwards, you should have a directory with these files, point to "compressonatorcli.exe".

Honest mistake, it's natural to assume that a CLI program wouldn't require an installation (which I'm personally not a fan of). For TexConv, you can just grab the executable. I'll take a compressed binary package every time over an installer.

I planned to have this ready by the beginning of the month, but then I got both distracted and burnt out from spending so much time on it and the potential C# rewrite. Instead of wasting away on my hard drive, I figured I may as well just release it. I did some pretty thorough testing and it should be good to go, tons of fixes since v49.0 which had some fairly significant bugs that should have been squashed a long time ago.

Hey Bighead, I just tried downloading version 50 and the download is a no-go. Mediafire has blocked the file claiming "The file you attempted to download was determined to be dangerous. For your protection, MediaFire does not enable distribution of dangerous files." So there's something mediafire didn't like about it.

Quick edit: It's just the mediafire link that's an issue. Mega is fine.

Oh this again. It's actually been a problem for quite some time now. I've been working around the detection by double zipping it, once with ZIP, once with 7z, and I forgot to do it this time. Mediafire, Discord, and several others have been flagging it for awhile now. It's really annoying but I don't think there's anything I can do about it since corporations decided they get to police software and deem what is "okay" and what is not.

My only guess is that the script can do some things that their detection algorithms don't like, which could be anything really. I'm importing DLL files that give more functionality for forms, using C# code to do thing that aren't possible in just PowerShell, and the script moves a bunch of files around and passes commands to a bunch of EXE files. So I guess it makes sense that it's setting off some red flags, it's just frustrating I have no way to prove it's not a virus. All I can do is work-around it by double zipping, and assure everyone that it doesn't have anything malicious built into it and hope they take my word for it.
