Custom Texture Tool PS v52.5

I'm feeling better as the day goes on. It seems there's an issue with BC7 when transparency surrounds the edges, but it's only "sometimes" and I'm not sure why. The workaround is to put a pixel in each corner that is only 1% opaque so it's not even visible. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about this, automating such a task could be expensive because the image would have to be generated twice. Plus I'd be adding garbage to every texture when it wouldn't need to be there, even if it isn't visible. The alternative is to leave it up to the artist to work-around this themselves, but that's asking a lot. I'll have to think about this one...
Anyway, try the BC7 textures in this pack. Just overwrite yours with them and see if it fixes your issues. I also suggest overwriting the PNG versions in your main pack as well, as I applied the work around to them. http://www.mediafire.com/file/vtoib6wahb...4_Fixed.7z Edit: Also, I never did see an issue with Death Star 1, but I did apply the work around to it just in case. I did see the other issues you pointed out. Edit2: It seems a single pixel in the top left corner will work too. I put a solid red pixel in and the image is now fine, but it's also definitely visible. Luckily for the textures in that pack I uploaded, I used black which can't be seen. I may just leave this one go for the moment so I can at least release a fix to the bad dimensions thing. The pixel is in the bottom left corner in the screenshot below because it is flipped in-game. Edit3: And here's the update that fixes issues with dimensions. http://www.mediafire.com/file/j6r2mreg6c...+v25.2.zip 08-07-2017, 06:16 AM
Interesting. Don't forget, I tested the SAME textures (not the fixed ones you gave, but the ones that have issues on Rogue Leader) with Rebel Strike, and that game has no issues!
So, you might be trying to provide a universal workaround if it's just this one game. 08-07-2017, 09:09 AM
Good point, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. It's strange that is only happening in that game, or the fact that it's happening at all. I loaded it up in Compressonator viewer and it also shows the white lines. But they can't really be there, because if converting that same BC7 texture to PNG or even another DDS format, they disappear.

Alright Bighead, I used v25.2 for Rogue Leader, Rebel Strike, and Jedi Outcast. Apart from all the textures fully rendering into DDS (with BC7), the only game having a problem (but not Rebel Strike, even though it has mostly the same textures) is Rogue Leader, as you can see below in the attachment.
The temporary solution is the one you suggested with adding a pixel. But this will be a pain (for now) to make it a unique BC7 pack of its own. Otherwise, this problem doesn't exist if I were to use the nVidia DDS (with DXT5) as a second best option. 08-08-2017, 08:35 AM
If you make the pixel 99% transparent and the color black, I don't see why you couldn't keep that in the PNG pack since it will never be seen. You could also just use DXT5 for that texture and have the rest of the pack BC7, although it would be an inconvenience to have to remember to convert that single texture every time you make an update.

Hi man, haven't talked for a lot time
When you have some time could you please look at this problem with conversion? https://www.mediafire.com/view/dotvzfbf8d5ausf Thanks a lot!

Error: no decode delegate for this image format 'PNG' (etc.)
NOTE: This error can now only be seen when the "Debug" option "Enable PowerShell Console" is checked. I think this is the same issue that others have had in the past, the short answer is uninstall the "dynamic" version of ImageMagick and use a "static" version. For example: ImageMagick-7.0.6-6-Q8-x64-static.exe. You can also try the things I have mentioned here, but the static version usually ends up being "the fix". I still don't know why. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-cu...#pid446865 08-13-2017, 03:22 AM
Okay, thanks, I'll give it a try!

Seems like Ishi can't load BC7 format of textures, is that correct or am I doing something wrong (again) haha?
Thanks!
