Owning the original Mario Kart Wii, I have obtained some custom texture packs for it (Mario Kart Black for example). These isos have a different title ID ("A: I've changed the titleID for this game from RCME01 to CKBE88 so you can hold both your original and your modded copy of Mario Kart on the same drive and they won't interfere with one another." -author) and a different file name. In dolphin, they all show as the same thing.. even size - which is different between all of them. editing config file for one changes it for all, leaving me with 4 copies of Mario Kart Wii or 4 copies of Mario Kart Black. The only way to tell the difference is to right click and hit properties, and at the top it says which one it is.
Well, the fun part is that when I do that and exit out of the popup window, it likes to change their order, so the one I just checked is not in the same position. Is there a way to fix it, or do i have to only put the one i wanna play in the roms folder? I am using multiple versions of wii -3.0, 7719, and an older netplay version, all with the same read on the iso files.

thanks to anyone who can help.

All I can think is if you play the variants with different textures completely with texture dumping on, and then put these in the custom textures folder, and then play MarioKart with the default version. When you want the alternative textures, enable texture modding for the game, and when you don't disable it. (I don't know exactly how to do this, but I know it can be done.)

this seems quite a bit more work than just moving isos around.. although a lot more clever. thanks for the help. Smile

Sounds kinda strange what's happening there.. dolphin should show the correct respective iso sizes. What are the files called, including the path?

Aren't all wii games the same size? All that I have an iso of are the exact same size, so that wouldn't happen, unless you thought he was meaning ios11 etc (not that I know what ios11 does or if it has a modified version).

Since the OP said the size was different, I was assuming he scrubbed the modded games.

And he also said:

So the only way to organise this may be to do it manually, or to somehow change the banner for the modded one, or to use a different region for the normal one.

... the point was that if they indeed have a different size, they shouldn't show up as having the same size in the first place...

Sorry, I can see how that could have been taken to be antagonistic. Anyway, the point is that it is still broken.
