Oh, I thought they were just numbered after numbers. If they contain the git commit string then that's okay^^

If you continue making it out as some kind of joke, these might be your last days around this forum. If your sole intent was to point out that the source code wasn't posted, then state that in a less personally annoying way.Ok, you blew things way out proportion, you're the only Dev here I know here that is hostile towards people. Lighting up. also the SOURCE HAS BEEN POSTED MULTIPLE TIMES. If you're going keep this attitude of policing people that want to contribute and/or make a harmless statement because It's not "serious" enough for you, don't surprised if people start leaving. 08-15-2014, 07:11 PM
Well, who cares what was.
Now you know what it is they need you to do so let's just move on and care about Dolphin

Well, it used to compile yesterday, but I did something and now I get errors on this line:
Code: std::array<FLOAT,4> blendFactor_ { std::array<FLOAT,4>{ 1, 1, 1, 1} }; // VS2013 miss non static aggregate member c++11 File: c:\users\jimbo1qaz\src\dolphin\source\core\videobackends\d3d\D3DWrapDeviceContext.h Line 40, Column 1, Project D3D If I remove the array list and instead insert at line 64.5, Code: blendFactor_ = { { 1, 1, 1, 1 } }; Is that the only error people get? EDIT! Well, I uploaded a new branch with latest changes from master: https://github.com/jimbo1qaz/dolphin/tre...art_master Download here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l53dkbm42t5972...ter-x64.7z Source here: https://github.com/jimbo1qaz/dolphin/com...56f9f05d4b Also, can someone make sure that what I did is correct? https://github.com/jimbo1qaz/dolphin/com...4ef07b85bb 08-17-2014, 10:20 PM
I'm not sure it's really possible for me to include the specific commit because I'm saying where to find the code in a readme.txt file, but the readme.txt file is itself under version control. So I've just been saying the URL of the branch. And I've been updating the binary file with new versions but keeping the binary at the same URL (I don't want people using old buggy versions and complaining about already fixed issues), which means the various pages around the internet pointing to the binary can't really say what commit it is.
Can't people easily work out what commit it is from the about box or the title bar?
Please keep in mind that not everyone runs Windows. Nor does everyone have Wine installed. So it's not really as simple as "read the about box or the title bar".
That said, having one post that is continuously updated with a recent build (with all references to old builds removed) certainly is less bad than permanent uploads of different builds spread across different posts, none of which is specific about which code the build was created from. Still I'd suggest adding the revision info just for sake of completeness, because it strengthens our trust in that you provide the correct source for your builds. EDIT: Btw, let's stop all this license off-topic talk. If people feel like there's something wrong with our stance on GPL violations, please complain about that in a separate thread. I'll delete any further posts on this topic in this thread. 08-18-2014, 04:53 AM
