Hi,

I am new in this forum and so first of all thank you for this wonderful piece of software. Recently, I bought a new computer and finally I am able to play my old Wii games in Full HD Smile

My girlfriend is going to have her birthday in 2 weeks and I am thinking about buying her Wii Fit + a balance board. Therefore, I am wondering, how far the support for the balance board is in current dolphin builds. I already spend a considerable long time in doing research on this topic but so far I have not found any clear statements, at least none for the latest versions of dolphin.

I don't want to give it as a present but not be able to set it up in our living room. That is why I am asking.

I already figured out, that there may be problems for OSX, but I haven't found new information regarding Windows (which I use). Furthermore, I am not sure how to connect it. Obviously, the connection works via bluetooth. Will a conventional bluetooth dongle with standard windows stack do the job? Has anybody any experiences in trying to connect a balance board to the Dolphinbar of mayflash? I read in this forum, that at least one user was successful in doing that. I am really pleased with the dolphinbar and Mayflash updated their firmware very recently so I am wondering if they add some kind of support. And if yes for which types of balance boards.

Furthermore, I read several time, that although users were able to connect the balance board, Wii Fit freezes. Is this still an issue?

I know, that are a lot of questions, but I am somehow confused and would really appreciate any responses on some of my questions Angel

Have a nice day

Flovie

To whom it may help:

I bought the balance board RVL-021 suggested by Kirtai (https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-so-i-take-it-the-dolphin-bar-is-highly-recommended-then?highlight=balance+board). As he/she said, that is the original Nintendo balance board. I can confirm that the dolphin bar supports this balance board. I was able to set up everything really easy and no problems occurred. Wii Fit Plus works like a charm so far Smile

So thank you again for the possibility to play wii on my pc Big Grin

Ahhh. I wondered if the DolphinBar would work with the Balance Board. Thanks for the confirmation!
