Crashing When Starting To Record Input

On my current version of Dolphin (5.0-15993) starting to record input on THPS4 shows a black screen and then eventually crashes Dolphin completely. Holding Frame advance also crashes as well. I'm lead to believe it is a version issue because I and others have tried the same things on much earlier versions of Dolphin (5.0-11xxx and 5.0-154xx with the same settings) and didn't have issues like this.
