Crash on Startup using Direct3D Plugin

So, I've tried looking around for answers to this problem for awhile now but haven't been able to find anything that seemed linked to it(maybe I'm bad at searching?).

Whenever I try to start a game while using the Direct3D plugin Dolphin crashes and gives me an error report("Dolphin.exe has encountered a problem.. blah blah blah"). OpenGL works without a problem most of the time, and I can certainly go on using it without too much fuss, but I would really like to be able to access Direct3D to at least test it out.

I always try to keep Direct X and my drivers up to date but for this I went through and reinstalled them to be sure anyway, but it didn't do much of anything. I'm using SVN R 4681 but also went back and tried a few older builds to be sure, again to no effect.

My specs are:

Windows XP SP3
AMD X2 6000+
2GB RAM
Geforce 9800 GT

So, should I just give up on it or is there a known fix for this?

Ah, thanks for that.

With 'Use Panic Handlers' switched on I got the "No Possible Memory Base Pointer Found" message, searched that and found the workaround.
