@hell321 Could you please stop talking nonsense ? I will add you to my ignore list (current : zero) from now on
I don't care if your English is good or not but your logic is severely wrong ....
Dolphin indeed use the 3rd core if you use LLE audio with LLE on thread turned onbut it provides zero->small speedup (depending on the games) . However it causes audio issues in some games and LLE audio is slower than HLE audio

Both Ivy Bridge and Haswell (desktop CPU only) use TIM , both of them run hotter than Sandy Bridge which is true
But if you know how to overclock (I guess you don't know) , you can push i5 4670k to 4.4GHz without breaking a sweat , even 4.6 won't be hard if you're lucky

Haswell is much faster than Ivy Bridge in Dolphin Benchmark . It's obviously the best choice for Dolphin despite what you're saying

So it looks like I'll be going with a i5 4670k with a z87 mobo. Okay, I can dig that. Shouldn't be more than $7-800 if that.

Reading what ya'll said on the i7's, I'll steer away from those I guess, considering Dolphin will only run on three cores. I'm also looking at doing early graphic design before I enter video game design/ programming. Would hyperthreading on an i7 make a difference there if I did get an i7? The tech guy told me my current build should be good for beginning early graphic design.

Photoshop/Blender/3DS Max/AutoCAD/Sony Vegas all like hyperthreading. If you use these, then you'll see a benefit from the i7. However, depending on how much you use this kind of stuff, you may not want to spend the extra money.

It will make a difference.
If the difference between the 4770K and 4670K looks worth the €80-€100 gap, then go ahead and get the 4770K.

Rights, so for now, it looks like I can be well-satisfied with a Z87 and an i5 4670k. I will look into replacing my computer with both of these when I get the chance.

I have got to say, you guys are responsive as Hell. I cannot thank you guys enough!!! Smile
