I had run dolphin fine but after installing new gpu drivers for my HD 7850 the cpu stays idle when playing dolphin. I have overclocked my 3570k to 4.5 GHz but again it was running fine before I installed the new graphics drivers. Does anyone know how I can get my CPU to stay at 4.5 while playing?

How did you overclock your CPU? Did you do it from the BIOS or from Windows?

I did it from the bios. Using OC Tweaker in my Asus Pro4

I now do not believe it is my computer idling while dolphin is open because I turned off speedstep and c1e which keeps my CPU at 4.5 GHz. I keep testing Need for Speed Underground as that was the game I was playing before I put in new drivers and it was working. Now once I start a race the FPS goes from 30 to 3 and keeps varying where before it was 60 fps. A

Any trouble shooting ideas would be great I will try them out and report back

What are your temps?

You might be overheating.

These are the temps after playing need for speed for 10 minutes. For some reason now its not at 5-10 FPS but it still doesnt stay 60 FPS consistently.

When playing my cpu usage is only 5-10% of max i have it open and was looking at it while playing. I currently have it so that my cpu is always at 4.5 GHz. I dont get why dolphin isnt using more of the cpu power
