Hello everybody.
I got a question about my config. I got low FPS with Wii games but i don't know if it comes of my CPU or GPU.
With different settings, resolutions, i got 40 fps. (800x600 or 1600x1200 change nothing, allways 40 fps)
Do you think it my CPU is too slow or my GPU ?
i got dual core 3,4Ghz and a geforce 240. (4Go RAM)
I hope you understand my english^^

-Define "low fps"
-What processor is it exactly?
-What games did you try?

The graphic card should handle 3x in most games, you're using an AMD Athlon, thats whats bottlenecking you

Couldn't we have worked that out immediately? If changing the internal resolution has no effect on speed it isn't the GPU.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

The only way to get it to run at full speed in every game is to use a heavily overclocked sandy bridge i5 or i7. You may get acceptable speeds with AMD hardware, but usually you can say a 4.5 GHz AMD CPU is equivalent to a 3GHz Sandy bridge one. So far I've been fine with 3GHz of i5, so if you can squeeze 4.5 GHz into your motherboard you should be satisfied until you go for the most demanding of games. It'll also be much cheaper for similar performance as long as you overclock it enough. However if I was in your situation I would go for the Intel option, as it would be the largest speed increase.

RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

Get the Phenom 2 x4 960t.
It will speed you up a bit.

Or save up for an i5 2500k.

Or a Pentium:

Any one of these will be better, but I recommend the Pentium.

In that benchmark, it's just as fast as an AMD six-core, with VASTLY superior Dual-threading, which is what matters to dolphin.
And Starcraft is VERY CPU intensive.

You could always get the Pentium and save up for the 2500k for later. Or not.>.<
I have the i5 2300.
Love it to death. It is also $50 cheaper than the 2500k.
