Hey peeps Smile First time poster, long time emulator!

I had a couple of idle curiosities about the Dolphin.

1: What would be the most stable new release? The reason I ask is because I have been using 4.0.2 for the last year or so, but some games still stutter (time splitters, tony hawk etc). I notice, after looking for fixes, that some of the newest releases fix these issues, but haven't been classified as stable yet. Is there a version that seems to have the best working results and feels stable?

2: Should I choose to update my installation, will I be able to keep my current settings/save files for the programs/games? Or am I going to have to start from scratch? Always hated setting up my controllers for different emulators. Not a big issue, just curious.

1. Just use the latest development build. If anything is broken (severely) it'll (usually) be noticed quick and will be fixed as soon as possible.
2. All your config and saves are stored in the Global User Directory if you aren't running Dolphin portable, so nothing will get removed unless you explicitly delete the folder.
Simply download the latest build, unpack it and you should be good to go. You can also always save your controller configs and store those somewhere so you can load them up later (or on other PCs) with a click of a button.

Oh and for more information on the Global User Directory and how to configure it, please check out the guide here.

Well damn. That is pretty awesome (the whole GUD), didn't realize that new feature (had been using 3.50 before my switch to 4.0.2). Thanks a ton for your help! Appreciate it!
