Could you allow users to set the input on a per game basis,same way holding down a button allows you to set the graphics and cpu on a per game basis? one size doesn't fit all when it comes to wii and wii ware games,some games require an emulated or real wiimote,others the classic controller,and some the gamecube controller...it's very inconvenient to change the master controller settings just to play a new game...it would be better if users could set their contols on a per game basis and quit Donkey Kong/Kirby(wii mote/emulated wiimote games) and play smash bros(emulated wii classic/gamecube controller) without having to go back to the master controls and change up everything....or being able to play a lightgun game with the real wiimote(dolphinbar) then play another game with an emulated controller...without having to change the master/default controller settings for dolphin

you can modify ini files to achieve this but it takes some research.
example-
# SOJE41, SOJP41 - Rayman Origins

[Core]
# Values set here will override the main Dolphin settings.

[EmuState]
# The Emulation State. 1 is worst, 5 is best, 0 is not set.
EmulationStateId = 5
EmulationIssues =

[Controls]
WiimoteSource0 = 1

This makes my dolphinbar state(default) into emulated for the classic controller accessory to work.
hope this helps

  it would be more convenient with an interface,over time you lose your ini files especially if you update Dolphin regularly ,plus if you have a good bit of games modifying inis on a per game basis would be tedious

Yes it would.

We only have like, one person (maybe two?) that currently cares enough to write code for the Android UI.

I'll point them at this thread if they get bored.

I've posted about this before: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-dolphin-doesn-t-use-the-ini-settings-you-setup-per-game

As of now the Android TV channels for Wii games are useless for emulated wiimotes. If I want to play a different game than previous.. I can't just open the game through the channel and expect the controls to work.. I would have to open the dolphin app and reconfigure the master controls every time... Sad

So I agree this is important to be implemented.. Every Wii game should have it's own config for controls.

The problem that was described in that topic has already been fixed. The editor for per-game settings is working properly now, it just doesn't have the ability to let you set the controller type yet.

Yes I know that.. I was just referencing the post that I talk about the same thing when it comes to having custom controller config for each game.

Ah, sorry. I missed the sentence where you mentioned that.

As long as I can change the radius of the analog sticks in the gui like way before dolphin 5.0 I'll be good. Also what was the use of removing that option on android? I rather have it and don't need it than don't have it and need it.
