It actually supports up to 32GB.
You're probably right about the processor, I don't think it would work.
But I have one last idea before I give up:
Since Dolphin only uses 2 cores, I could set a maximum limit of 2 active cores via MSConfig.
This will make the turbo raise the clock speed to 2.5GHz (with 2 cores active) or 2.93GHz (with 1 core active)
Combined with a program to limit background processes, and possibly Throttlestop to overclock.
Would this make any noticeable improvement?
