I would avoid adding one right now while people who wish to make some random bits of data have an intrinsic value (crypto miners) are artificially inflating the price of GPUs, but a side benefit is when all of their hopes and dreams (and bank accounts and credit scores) come crashing down the used market will be flooded with very cheep used Graphic Cards.
Personally I will probably update my emulation computer's Graphics Card when the RX460-580 range of cards crash into the $30 to $75 range or I will replace the 980 ti in my main rig if a 1080/1080ti gets into the $100-150 range.
I like playing these games with my relatives who live in Maryland , I live in Georgia. So when I ever I see them , we lace them up and get some good gaming in. I was hoping I could bring something home like a Mac mini or a gaming laptop I could easily put in my luggage and travel with. Looks like I may have to build a small PC or something. Perhaps some Mac Minis will work but they seem to be up there in price range.
