Out of no where for some reason when I start Tales of Symphonia I get this error

"could not write memory card file C:\user\..\..\..\..\Users\GC\MemoryCardA.USA.raw
Are you running Dolphin from a cd/dvd, or is the save file maybe write protected."

It basically erased all of my in game saves..... Not sure why? or what happened but the emulator saves still works. and all in game saves are gone.

Did you try to start Dolphin as admin?

Yes I did, still no luck

I'm more confused on why this happened. On a side note, I just started playing Luigi's Mansion and and when I tried to save in game I got that error. Then it started happening on ToS.

You need to have permissions to write to that folder.
Follow the steps in this guide if you don't know how to do it.

I followed the instructions and made sure the "MemoryCardA.USA.raw" file had full permissions. Still no luck.
*Problem Fixed* Turns out the emulator was trying to access a save from a different version of dolphin. (apparently I had a folder with the previous version of dolphin in it) Somehow it was trying to access the older version of the games save files. simply deleting the other folder fixed it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks Smile

I solved this by changing A slot to "Dummy"

I think I'm having the same issue. I manually downloaded the most recent version of Dolphin and didn't update through the updater. I don't know what I need to do to sync the versions to the latest versions saves. I only have 1 Dolphin folder in my Documents folder.
